Return of the Glob

Greetings dear readers,
I know that you may have viewed these pages as a once fertile rainforest that slowly let the desert lands creep upon it until they finally engulfed the vegetative soil with a vast, empty wasteland. Today I give my highest apologies to you, for you endured the sorrowful, dry sands of abandon. Yet I am very glad to announce that I have begun to plant an oasis of thought once again in this internet land.

I am on a tremendous Sci-Fi kick. My current mission: to watch as many Sci-Fi films as possible and create my own official top 100 list. In order to do this I needed a place to organize as well as get some input from others about their own favorite Sci-Fi films. Thus, dearDavid is alive and grows again.

Wish me luck as I continue on my journey through space, aliens, time, life, and humanity!

I can tell you from experience it is delighting when the greatest internet find of your week is your own blog. I almost forgot this guy x-isted.

Here's to you, golden pages
Though you have grown old
You still shine through the ages
Giving posts yet told

Read by many of the realm
Yet penned by a single helm
He finally lost sight of you amongst the dirt
Many years into the glob his ears did not exert

But later stumbling through the shifting sift
The slew of pages and tabs in chrome

Top Ten (Resurrected)

Well well well, I bet you didn't this this was comin' back now did you? BOOM! Always keeping you on your toes I am and be prepared because I'm fully loaded and have a banging TopTen for you this week. Its been over a year since my last post, so buckle up and let the fun carry you away once again. 
In non-reverse-order, so you may want to start at the bottom, here we go!

1. Top40 Material
One off the Top Ten all time greats, Faulkner steps up into the #1 spot after my long time hiatus. Impeccable and undeniable, his musical artistry is unmatched.

Wise words from a true warrior, Jordan Mandel almost always knows best. So its official, better be on the lookout for them ticks. Don't get diseased.

3. Sandy Lays it All Out There

truth is, i remember one time i was trying to stuff some candy into my bra, like the secret fat kid i am, and you were like, "girl, no. that's trashy." and i replied, "yeah, you're right claire. that IS trashy." so instead of being trashy and storing it in my bra like some kind of CANDY PROSTITUTE just because i don't like to carry around a purse, i ate it all there and then! you're not afraid to tell me when i'm being stupid or slutty or even when i just look plain ugly, so thanks claire.

4. The Bentleys...
I never thought I would see the day when this crazy dude found something he loved more than rocks (matter of fact he still probably hasn't), but Callan has gone of and taken a wife. Hopefully it is full of love and doesn't turn out too rocky.

5. Classic
This is what its all about folks, stepping up to the plate and nailing this one: Jamie and Natalie. When I look into the N. Stearman's eyes I want to run.

6. Hustling
Don't know who the stranger in red is. James stop clowning around. Taka = fresh. 

7. The Beard
I have heard a little about this beauty, but still haven't seen it. Yet I felt like it deserved a spot on the blog for mediocre internet fame. Tune in next week for my story: "VanNess to consider job off teaching chemistry part time"...


8. Oh the Witty '08
Making number eight, Jacob, JP, and Leslie. They've grown up (maybe), become 21, and the atmosphere has shifted a little, but the wittiness will probably never end.

What would the top ten be without Ben. However with his jean shorts I can hardly recognize him! PS - the shoe contrast in this photo is primetime. 

10. Casey's Lame Veggie
I don't know why I found this funny but I did. Congrats on your vegetable Casey, I know you are proud of it... But come on! Its got nibbles on one end and ultimately is just a sorry green growth.
